Yet Another Wildberries Warehouse Catches Fire in Volgograd After Ukraine’s Raids.

The company said there were no preliminary reports of casualties after the blaze at its logistics facility.

A fire broke out at a Wildberries logistics facility in Volgograd on July 31 following an attack, the Russian company said as reported by TASS.

Fire crews were working at the site, while preliminary information showed no casualties, according to the company. Volgograd Governor Andrei Bocharov said fires had also been recorded at a fuel and energy facility and at warehouse premises during overnight drone incursions.

Since July 18, Ukrainian drones have targeted several company warehouses, including a sorting center in the Ryazan region where thousands of parcels awaiting shipment were set on fire. In total eleven of such warehouses have been destroyed over the course of one month. The damages are in billions of dollars.

Ukraine’s government describes the company’s logistics system as part of Russia’s wartime supply network. Which is correct, given that products offered through the marketplace include body armor, helmets, tactical footwear, camouflage, night-vision equipment and ready-made “frontline” kits, some carrying the “Z” symbol used by Russian forces.

Then there are sold drones, drone parts, adapters for them to carry artillery shells, etc…

Interestingly, Wildberries says its warehouses are civilian facilities. That company processes about half of Russia’s online retail orders, according to analyst Philipp Lausberg, who described it as a central part of the country’s consumer economy.

The attacks have also affected Russian sellers whose sold goods were stored in destroyed warehouses. TASS reported that the Kremlin is considering financial support for Wildberries and its merchants, while the company is seeking warehouse space in Kazakhstan. So far, no compensations have been issued by the Kremlin regime; instead, all the money is being poured into armed forces.

During the early morning of July 31st, explosions were reported in Mariupol and Melitopol. In Melitopol, an explosion at about 6 a.m. was followed by a loss of electricity, while Donetsk and Sevastopol were said to have come under drone attack. What exactly was struck there is being clarified; however, all the logistic routes used by Russians in the Donetsk direction have been under Ukrainian drone strikes during the morning.
